A native of Madhubani District of Bihar, Kaveri is a young women with a determination of steel. Married of in 2006 at a young age of 17 years, she is today an equal earning member of her household. Her efforts supplement the meagre earnings of her husband, a petty trader in the village.
She started learning the Sikki Grass Artwork immediately after her wedding and is today creating some of the most sought after Golden Grass Souvenirs.

English Translation
“We are poor people. I want to help my family make some extra money. I love making Sikki Grass Souvenirs. I learnt this about 4 years ago when I came to my husband’s home after marriage. I want that the items made by me go to customers in India and overseas.”
