A god fearing artist, Shakib Bhai, as he is popularly know, works from his home workshop in Bhirwara Village of Sambhal Tehsil of Moradabad District in UP, India.
Now aged around 45 years, Shakib Bhai has been engaged in making necklaces, bracelets and earning from the last 20 years. His work medium is glass beads (called Poth).
Educated until 8th grade, Shakib Bhai has 3 children aged 18 years, 14 years and 6 years. The eldest daughter has just completed 10th grade and Shakib Bhai hopes that she will study more unlike him. He wants his children to study and be successful in whatever they want to do. He hopes that his middle son, Yasir, who has a flair for the work he does, will join him and carry on the family craft.
